Cisco ASA 5505 Security Plus license provides stateless active/standby high availability, dual ISP support, DMZ support, VLAN trunking support, and increased session and IPSec VPN peer capacities. Feb 19, 2017 Hi Guys, Does the Security Plus License support SSL VPN Clientless (web browser access)? If so, How many? I need at least 50 SSL VPN Clientless users and I have been searching licenses for it. Also, I want to buy a used 5510 ASA with License and uses it in a company network, just for SSL VPN access.

Honestly an ASA at home is a waste.
All security plus does is unlock fail-over and vlans on a 5505. Sure its perpetual but you don't really gain much for a home network.

There are a ton of better options if you want it to protect your home network rather than a learning tool.

Sophos UTM is free for home use. PFsense will also have a tone more features than that ASA. There are a few others as well.
Firepower is similar to the UTM features that you will find on some of the other products out there.
Also welcome to the community.
On every purchase of ASA firewall, Cisco ships product authorization key known as PAK in printed format along with delivery. The steps remain same irrespective of ASA license feature.
1.Login to Cisco registration portal – http://www.cisco.com/go/license and enter PAK key and ASA serial number, then you will get the license key by registered email immediately.
Caution: When you enter the key in ASA you will need to reboot. Also always save the output of “show version” to keep it in your records prior to entering new key upgrade.
2.Enter the license key in ASA and upgrade software license, in this case, we upgrade sec plus.
(config)# activation-key <license>
(config)# write memory
(config)# reload
3.After reboot, verify that new license key is accepted
(config)# show activation-key
